A vítima foi atingida no pescoço, peito e nos braços. Após o crime o suspeito se apresentou a Polícia Militar.

Um homem de 69 anos foi preso suspeito de matar com cinco facadas a mulher de 64 anos em Araguaína. O crime aconteceu na casa do casal, localizada na rua Araguaci no setor JK, na noite desta sexta-feira (21).  Conforme a Polícia Civil, o idoso procurou a Polícia Militar e confessou o assassinato.

A Polícia Civil informou ainda que José Alberto Carvalho relatou que matou Tereza de Oliveira Carvalho durante uma discussão por ciúmes dele da mulher. O corpo da vítima estava na sala da casa onde os dois moravam. Ela tinha ferimentos no pescoço, peito e nos braços.

Os bombeiros foram chamados, mas quando chegaram ao local apenas constataram o óbito. José Alberto foi levado para a Casa de Prisão Provisória de Araguaina, onde aguarda audiência de custódia.

O corpo de Tereza foi levado para o Instituto Médico Legal (IML) da cidade após a perícia.
